Ice Daluman

Es Cincau Hijau or Green Grass Jelly Cincau Ijo, Indonesian Dessert Made from Cincau Leaf with Coconut Milk and Palm Sugar. Popular for Breakfasting during Ramadhan.

Ice Daluman is one of the Balinese beverages and is also known as Ice Cincau in Java. This beverage is sweet and refreshing.

For the burger

  • 30 pcs green grass jelly
  • 150 palm sugar
  • 4 pandan leaves
  • one pinch of sugar
  • 150 ml instant coconut milk
  • 1.4 liter of water
  • 1.2 liter water
  • bunch of ice

How to Cook

Preparing the jelly

Place green grass jelly and 500 ml of water in a blender and process.
Strain and make sure there are no leaves inside the water.
Leave the green grass jelly water for 30 minutes until become jelly.

Preparing the sugar

Boil 200 ml water and add palm sugar. Stir and boil for 10 minutes.

Preparing the cocnut milk

Boil 700 ml water, coconut milk, and add pandan leaves and salt. Stir for 15 minutes.

Place 5 tables spoon the jelly, 3 tablespoons palm sugar liquid, and ice into a glass.

Ice Daluman is ready to serve.

If you can’t find green grass jelly you can use ready-to-use black or green grass jelly in the supermarket.
