DESCRIPTION:The Angkor Empire Marathon is one of Southeast Asia’s most iconic road races — a multi-distance event held annually on the first Sunday of August, starting at 4:30 AM directly in front of Angkor Wat. The 12th edition is scheduled for Sunday 8 August 2027, according to the organizer’s race calendar; the 2026 edition drew more than 4,500 runners from around the world.\nFour distances are on offer: a 3 km fun run, a 10.5 km road race, a 21.1 km half marathon, and the full 42.195 km marathon.
