Open Mic Night at Mex’D Up
Open Mic Night at Mex’D Up
Every Friday night, Siem Reap’s most welcoming open mic takes the stage at Mex’d Up Bar and Restaurant in Wat Damnak Village.
Hosted by Cam, this weekly event has earned a loyal following among musicians, spoken word artists, poets, and performers of every style. The mic goes live at 8 p.m. and runs until midnight — no entry fee, no pressure, no experience required. Expats, travelers, and locals all share the same stage.
All you need is the courage to step up. Performers get a free draft beer on the house.
All musical styles are welcome, whether you’re a seasoned performer or picking up the mic for the first time. The crowd is warm and the vibe is deliberately quirky — this is not a polished venue showcasing professional acts, it’s a genuine community night where the joy is in the participation.
Mex’d Up serves fusion Mexican street food alongside signature cocktails and Drunk Iced Tea. Doors open at 5 p.m. for dinner before the show — the tacos and burritos are the main event of the earlier part of the evening.
Located in Wat Damnak Village, on the quieter east side of the Siem Reap River, Mex’d Up is part of a neighborhood that has become home to some of the city’s best independent bars and restaurants. Look for it just off Street 27.
