Once a month, when the full moon rises over Siem Reap, a night market springs to life on Sivutha Boulevard. The Full Moon Night Market is a relaxed, atmospheric gathering of local vendors selling handmade crafts, clothing, jewellery, and street food — all lit by string lights and the glow of Cambodia’s brightest night sky.

The market runs from 6pm to 11pm and is free to enter. Unlike the larger, more tourist-heavy markets nearby, the Full Moon Night Market has a neighbourhood feel — smaller, quieter, and more browsable. It’s a good place to pick up locally made souvenirs at reasonable prices without the hard sell you’ll sometimes find elsewhere.

Expect a mix of textile stalls, artisan jewellery, handpainted items, and snack vendors. The food side is simple but satisfying — grilled skewers, fresh fruit, local sweets, and cold drinks. There’s usually live music or ambient sound drifting through the area.

For visitors, this market is best enjoyed as an evening stroll. It sits close to Pub Street and the Old Market area, making it easy to combine with dinner or a drink afterward. Arrive after 7pm when the market is at its busiest and the atmosphere is at its warmest.
