Profile
Angkor Night Market is Siem Reap’s most established after-dark shopping destination — a sprawling network of over 200 bamboo-roofed stalls spread across a landscaped garden in the heart of the city. It has been running since 2007 and covers everything from handwoven silks and silverwork to paintings, clothing, and NGO-produced handicrafts. The atmosphere is relaxed and well-lit, which makes it a comfortable place to browse even if you’re not planning to buy.
The market divides into sections. In the southern zone (Night Market A), Island Bar offers live music most evenings — a good reason to arrive early and stay longer than you planned. There’s also a Movie Mall screening documentaries about Cambodian history, traditional massage services, and a range of food stalls selling both street food and sit-down meals.
The focus is on Cambodian-made goods. Many stalls are run by cooperatives and NGOs supporting local artisan communities — what you’re buying here tends to have a story behind it. Prices are negotiable but keep it friendly — most prices are already fair by tourist market standards.
