Profile
Banteay Kdei is a serene and slightly more secluded temple in the Angkor Archaeological Park, built in the late 12th century during the reign of King Jayavarman VII. It is a Buddhist monastery and temple complex, constructed in a similar architectural style to Ta Prohm, with intricate carvings and extensive galleries. The temple is known for its well-preserved walls and towers, and like many other Angkor temples, it is partially overgrown with trees and vines, adding to its mystical atmosphere. Banteay Kdei is less crowded compared to other Angkor temples, making it a peaceful spot to explore and admire the architecture and carvings that reflect the spiritual and cultural significance of the Khmer Empire.
